§ 6-10.1. Educational leave with pay.

  • A leave of absence at full or part pay during regular working hours may be granted to an employee upon the recommendation of the supervising department head, and with the approval of the county manager, to permit an employee to take courses of study which will better equip him to perform his duties. The county may assume the cost of tuition, fees and instructional materials for an employee on educational leave with pay. In addition, the county may assume such costs for an employee who is pursuing educational courses related to his job outside of county working hours.
