§ 6-7.3. Maternity leave, employee responsibility.

  • The employee will apply in writing to her department head for leave, designating her choice of the maternity leave options. The department head will forward her request to the county manager for his approval. She is obligated to return to duty within or at the end of the time determined appropriate. If she finds she will not return to work, she should notify the county manager immediately. Failure to report at the expiration of a leave of absence, unless an extension has been requested will be considered a resignation.
