The 1994 Standard Building Code, Volume I with 1999 revisions, and the Administration
and Enforcement Code, Volume I-A, 1996 edition with 1999 revisions, as adopted by
the North Carolina Building Code Council and as amended, is hereby adopted by reference,
as fully as though set forth in this chapter, as the building code of the county to
the extent such code is applicable for safe and stable design, methods of construction,
minimum standards, and uses of materials in buildings or structures to be erected,
enlarged, altered, repaired, or otherwise constructed or reconstructed.
