§ 22-61. Organization.

(a)

The inspection department shall operate under the direction and supervision of the county manager.

(b)

The inspectors of the inspection department shall consist of one or more of the following:

(1)

A superintendent of inspections who shall also serve as chief inspector;

(2)

A building inspector;

(3)

An electrical inspector;

(4)

A plumbing inspector;

(5)

A heating and air conditioning inspector;

(6)

A fire prevention inspector;

or such of the positions listed in subsections (b)(1) through (8) of this section as may be authorized by the board of commissioners. Any inspector may hold one or more titles and more than one inspector may be assigned to the same title.
