§ 28-35. Insurance.

  • Prior to a franchise being issued and at all times after it is issued, the franchisee must maintain insurance policies in force, issued by a company or companies licensed to do business in North Carolina as follows:

    (1)

    Commercial automobile coverage covering every vehicle owned, leased or operated by the franchisee, in the amounts of at least $1,000,000.00 CSL per occurrence/$5,000,000.00 aggregate;

    (2)

    General liability coverage, including completed operations, covering all operations in Halifax County, with limits of at least $2,000,000.00 per occurrence/$5,000,000.00 aggregate;

    (3)

    Workers compensation coverage, covering all employees, with at least the limits required by the State of North Carolina.

    Halifax County will be named as additional insured on all those policies.
