§ 34-3. Basis for establishing the special flood hazard areas.

The special flood hazard areas are those identified under the Cooperating Technical State (CTS) agreement between the State of North Carolina and FEMA in its Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and its accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), for Halifax County dated June 18, 2013, which are adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter.

The initial flood insurance rate maps are as follows for the jurisdictional areas at the initial date:

Halifax County Unincorporated Area, dated May 5, 1981.

Town of Enfield, dated June 25, 1976.

Town of Hobgood, dated July 1, 1977.

City of Roanoke Rapids, dated April 17, 1978.

Town of Scotland Neck, dated July 3, 2007.

Town of Weldon, dated April 1, 1981.
