§ 54-27. Purpose and intent of article.

It is the purpose and intent of the board to regulate the storage, collection, transportation, use, disposal and other disposition of municipal solid waste; to encourage source separation of recyclable materials prior to the collection of municipal solid waste (recycling); to regulate the disposal of municipal solid waste; and to authorize fees in support of the collection and disposal of municipal solid waste and the availability of convenience centers throughout the county.
