§ 58-30. Initial or minimum charge.

  • (a)

    The initial or minimum charge, as provided in the rate schedule, shall be made for each meter installed, regardless of location. Each meter requires a separate meter reading sheet, and each meter reading sheet shall cover a separate and individual account.

    (b)

    Water furnished for a given lot shall be used on that lot only. Each customer's service must be separately metered at a single delivery and metering point. Any commercial use, including store rooms and stalls for business purposes, shall be metered separately from any residential use and vice versa, whether now in service or to be installed in the future. Provided however; home occupations, as defined by the county zoning ordinance, may combine residential and business use from one meter. Home occupations shall pay commercial rates.

    (c)

    In areas, where the consumer uses service during certain months only, the minimum charge for service for the period of non-use shall be the regular minimum as set forth in the published county fee schedule. The user has the option to have water temporarily cut-off without closing his/her account for a fee as set forth in the published county fee schedule.
