§ 1-8.3. Maintenance of the pay plan.

  • The county manager will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the pay plan. The pay plan is intended to provide equitable compensation for all classes in the classification plan when considered in relationship to ranges of pay for other classes, general rates of pay for similar employment in the private sector and in other public jurisdictions in the area, cost of living data, financial condition of the county and other factors. To this end, the county manager will from time to time make comparative studies of all factors affecting the level of salary ranges and will recommend to the commissioners such changes in salary ranges as appear to be warranted.
