§ 22-2. Building contractors.

Buildings costing $30,000.00 or more must be built by a building contractor licensed by the state and must have workers' compensation insurance as required by G.S. chapter 97. No permit will be issued for the construction of any building costing $30,000.00 or more until and unless it is shown to the satisfaction of the county inspection department that the contractor holds a license with the state.
