§ 22-100. Permit fees generally.

  • (a)

    Fees for permits shall be based upon the total estimated cost of the proposed work, including all subcontractors, if any, but in no case shall the total estimated cost be less than the market value of similar completed work in the same or similar location, as determined by the appropriate inspector. Failure to obtain permits at the proper time will cause the fees charged to be doubled. An additional charge for not obtaining the permit before the work begins shall be imposed, in the amount of $50.00.

    (b)

    The following permit fees shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule, as may be amended from time to time.

    (1)

    Building permit fees.

    (2)

    Plumbing permit fees.

    (3)

    Heating and air conditioning permit fees.

    (4)

    Electrical permit fees.

    (5)

    Insulation permit fees.

    (6)

    Fire prevention code permit fees.
