§ 58-26. Classification of service.

All services are classified under three categories.
(1)

Residential. Defined as single family homes, duplexes, multifamily units and farm operations where the dwelling of the farm family is served as a part of the operation.

(2)

Commercial. Defined as all other customers, with the exception of bulk customers, including schools, churches, institutions, commercial establishments, farm operations and industries.

(3)

Bulk. Defined as a municipal corporation within the boundaries of Halifax County and any state or federal institution within the boundaries of the county that purchases water under a bulk contract designating minimum and maximum usage. Any water user that purchases in excess of 100,000 gallons per day averaged over 260 days per year.
