§ 58-27. Rate schedule and tap-on fees.

  • (a)

    Rate schedule.

    (1)

    Residential. Residential rates for water service in the county shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule, as may be amended from time to time.

    (2)

    Commercial. Commercial rates for water service in the county shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule, as may be amended from time to time.

    (3)

    Bulk. Bulk rates for water service in the county shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule, as may be amended from time to time.

    (b)

    Tap-on fees. Tap-on fees for water service in the county shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule, as may be amended from time to time. The county board of commissioners during the construction phase of a water line extension project may establish special tap-on fees.

    (c)

    Deposit fees. The deposit fee shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule.

    (d)

    Customer service fee. Cost to open new account at an existing meter site shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule.

    (e)

    Cost of relocation. When the customer requests the county to change a water meter location (tap if applicable), the county shall recover from the customer the actual cost plus 25 percent to fulfill such requested relocation.

    (f)

    Fire protection charges. Fire protection charges for standby fire hydrants and sprinkler connections shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule.

    (g)

    Persons living outside county. Rates for persons living outside the county shall be as set forth in the county's fee schedule.
